Diary of a Millennium

By: Tuxedo Rainbow

Era: Crystal Imperium 3057 - 4057 AD

Pluto goes on a much needed vacation (but doesn’t say that it is), leaving Tux and Terra to guard the Time Space Door. This diary was left in the care of Pluto after 4057 AD.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3057 AD - Day 1 - Mood - Calm

So, today I find out that Sailor Pluto has left her post as Guardian of the Time Space Door, leaving Queen Lady Serenity, also known as Chibi-Usa, pleading with me and Terra to take over until she returns. We figured she just wanted a vacation, and that she would be back in a few days.

(Added by Tux - 4057 AD How wrong we were.)

We agreed to do it. We didn’t mind. After all, we figured she would owe us, somehow. Guarding a door into the past and the future sounds easy, right? We figured we wouldn’t get bored, much, and that Pluto would return, and we would go free in about a week.

(Added by Tux - 4057 AD Yeah, right.)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3057 AD - Day 30 - Mood - Concerned

Terra wants to know where Setsuna is. I’m not worried, yet. We can check on the past, watch what has happened to Sailor Moon and Chibi-Usa, view our favorite moments of the Suburban Senshi, but we have decided not to view the future. Later that month, we start watching events unfold in the past… you know, Boston Tea Party, Civil War, and so on. We do not interfere at all.

One month isn’t so bad. One of us usually guards the door while the other goes for food. We take turns at night.

I just hope she returns soon.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3057 AD - Day 60 - Mood - Confused

Where is she anyway? Terra is with me, I mean Pluto. We have already solved all the mysteries we wanted to solve (and wrote them in code in this diary…) (several pages follow of coded messages) No one but us and maybe Pluto will be able to solve them. We recently heard from Sedna that Pluto did not leave the solar system. Maybe she went into the past or something. Terra is getting bored of waiting. I decide that I should take over guarding the door for a time, to give her a break. She decides to come back in thirty days, which she did. I hope that Queen Lady Serenity doesn’t punish Pluto for this…

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3057 AD - Day 90 - Mood - Puzzled

It’s Tux’ turn to take a short break. Thankfully, there’s stuff to do out there. I rested, had food, and talked to people. I don’t mind being alone with Tux, it’s just that thirty days is sometimes too much. I wonder if Helios knows where Pluto is, but I will not ask him. Queen Lady Serenity is conducting a search of her own, but I know she will not find Pluto. I know Tux will be back soon…

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3057 AD - Day 120 - Mood - Angry

Terra, I think one of us should enjoy themselves. You can go. I’ll be fine. Just come back, once in a while.

Chibi-Usa has decided to start searching time for her, but I know that it is fruitless. She can move freely through time, Sailor Pluto can, and when she doesn’t want to be found, she doesn’t want to be found. I hate it, I really do. She won’t be back until she’s darn good and ready. And that may be some time later.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3058 AD - Mood - Worried

Terra comes and goes now, Some times, she comes every month, others, she’s helping the new Senshi, and doesn’t come at all. My birthday (or should I say our birthday) came and went, and she’s away. She came back briefly to celebrate our anniversary, and then, she’s back looking for Setsuna. I don’t know how much more of this I can take. Now I know how Setsuna felt. Trapped like this, all alone, without friends… Now I know what is feels like.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3059 AD - Mood - Alone

I know I rarely write in here anymore. It’s all I can do to keep what’s left of my sanity. Terra checks up on me more often now, and wonders if I will be fine. I say nothing. I still love her, but it’s like she’s on the outside, and I am in the prison. I don’t want to harm her or Setsuna, but I am starting to think that I want to harm Chibi-Usa. Is the loneliness what drove Setsuna nuts? Day in, day out, year after year of having no one to talk to? You do go mad, I guess.

Terra said she’ll stay a few months here. I trust her.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3060 AD - Mood - Plotting

I’m worried about Tux. He’s distanced himself from me. He still kisses me, but it’s like kissing a statue. He’s lifeless, thinking about other things. I know, he’s told me has grandiose plans for capturing our Queen, and I think he may do it. I can’t get him help, and I fear that if I take over, the same thing will happen to me. I’ve got to find her. Setsuna, where in time are you?

---

Plotting to kill the Queen… must take over throne… no one knows this. Not even her. Not even Terra.

Must make it look like an accident. Yes, an accident. That’s the ticket. Heh…

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3065 AD - Mood - Insane

Failed. I have failed so many time, it’s like I know what will happen if I try again. So, this is what it feels like, Setsuna… This is what it feels like to be trapped in the Door, looking out, but not being able to act. No one knows it was me… That was the easy part. Terra doesn’t know it was me. That was easy. I won’t try again.

---------------------------------------------------

3070 AD - Mood - Calm?

Little bug, what are you doing here? I know Setsuna fears you, but I do not. You will be my new pet.

Terra came by, and said I was crazy. I am not, this world is! *laughter* Setsuna took a break fromt his craziness… and so must I. I won’t see you again, Terra…

------

I’ve lost him. Ami, I wish you were here. This is not the Tux I know. This is a mad man. I’m trying to force him out, but he won’t go. Someone help me.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

3080 AD - Mood - Paranoid

They’re all coming to get me. Terra’s tipped them off that I am not all there. Of course, it is true, but I am hiding in the Realm of Time until the heat is off. So, I may not write in here for some time.

They will never find me… never.

-----------------------------------------------

3100 AD - Mood - Careful

I came out for a second, to look. No one is here. Good, my plans can continue. I won’t go after the Queen… no… I must take over the castle, and force her to see things my way. Yes, it should be easy. Terra will never know… Heh, heh, heh…

-----------------------------

3120 AD -Mood - Bored

Nothing to do… all the same. Terra has all the fun. Need something to do…

Maybe I will destroy something…

---

I wish I could talk to him… tell him things will be okay… I hope he comes back… Tux… please, come back…

--------------------------------------------

3150 AD - Mood - Happy

Terra said she was bored. Terra, bored? That’s a laugh. But having her here cheered me up. Time to go back to work.

----

He seems normal, considering. I hope things will turn out okay…

---------------------------------------------------------

3200 AD Mood - Bored

I need something to do! All this waiting, and Setsuna isn’t back yet. Where is she?

---------------------------------------------------

3300 AD - Mood - Paranoid

All out to get me… for what I did. They can’t get me in here… hee hee. I’ll be safe… They can’t get me.

-------------

He went insane. Setsuna, where are you?

------------------------------------------------------------------

3400 AD - Mood - Genius

I just had an idea. Ami can give me one of her computers, and I can program. It will help me pass the tiem. I can create the greatest senshi simulator ever. I’m so smart!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

3500 AD - Mood - Bored

What does one do when you have done everything you have ever wanted to do? Nothing. I’m bored.

I just stand here waiting. Terra came by, and found me here, waiting. No, I am not insane, just bored.

We have yet to find Setsuna, but I don’t care, she’s quirky. She’ll return when she’s ready.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3600 AD - Mood - Concerned

I wonder where Setsuna is. Tux is so bored after nearly a thousand years of guarding that door. I hope she returns. Tux has said he wants a working vacation after this is over. Where or when did she go?

-------

I realize know that Setsuna can hide her own senshi aura in the time stream. I should be looking for someone with green hair and a big staff. But the odds are against me. We’ll find her, Terra. Now, she and I are even, Terra.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3700 AD - Mood - Depressed

If I could, I’d give up the post, but I can’t. If I could, I’d give up the search, but I can’t. Terra is helping me by searching our dimension, but so far, nothing. At least I know she knows how frustrated I feel.

I feel like giving up on Setsuna. I’ll be here for another thousand years.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3800 AD - Mood - Successful?

We’ve found her? Say it isn’t so. Oh, it’s Trista. Our Pluto. Trista says that she can’t find Setsuna either, and she was supposed to be back decades ago. Poor me.

---------

Darn, it was only our Pluto. Darn it. Where is Setsuna?

-------------------------------------------------------

3900 AD - Mood - Calm

Setsuna finally contacted me. She said she just needed a vacation. I told her that we were even. She nodded. Terra didn’t know why, and I can’t explain it to her. Setsuna will be back soon. Good.

-------------------------------------------------------------

4057 AD - End of Diary

Today, I leave my post. Setsuna looks so relaxed. I wonder who she saw. I wonder when are where she was. But none of that matters now. I need to fight some youma, or something, then, Terra and I can relax again. Terra, I will soon be free.

----------

There he is, back in my arms. My knight, my love. At long last. Sure, I don’t mind letting him fight. I had to fight to get him back, and now it’s his turn. Setsuna, read that diary. Read it well, and see what it is like to guard the Door.

-----------

Setsuna thumbed through the pages, smiling. She stored the diary with her own, hidden in the depths of time. She wrote in her diary for the first time in eons about her vacation and about Tux and Terra. Maybe they were destined to be together, these two, she mused, writing. Maybe I should write more often, she pondered, reading the pages of Tux’s diary. Smiling, she returned to work; no one would ever know where she was but her.

One day, she would read Tux’s dairy, like she would read hers, but for now, it was just another part of history.
