It is the age of steam power, as Tokyo enjoys a vibrant renewal after its near-destruction by vicious demons named Kouma. Now, the ancient evil is on the rise again, with demons wreaking havoc in Tokyo, Paris and New York. Can the amnesiac Sakura Xadium Aino, who thinks herself the daughter of the Shinguugi demon-slaying clan, work together with the actresses / soldiers of the Imperial fighting force / theatre troupe and their steam powered "Koubu" mechs to defeat the evildoers and preserve the peace?
