Iron Heart of Darkness
Iron Heart of Darkness
By Nitemare_Angel
Time Setting: Daimon Hoarde.
Shiboko was still young, being only four-thousand, five hundred Certask* years old, and under the training of someone she was supposed to address as ‘Sailor Certa’.
Shiboko didn’t understand why, or how, but this woman was supposedly really old and wise, a guardian of this planet since its birth. Warding off the darkness, and saving thousands.
Yet she didn’t look like she was much older than ten-thousand, still appearing to be a child, even if she must’ve been a few million years old.
Shiboko couldn’t seem to comprehend why you’d want a weak child to be your guardian. Most of the military members were big, burly, but nothing like this person. She was small, frail, and…odd. To her, this ‘soldier’ didn’t seem powerful. More like she was just some pretty girl who posed and maybe distracted the enemy, while the military would actually do the fighting. She shook her head.
She had yet to meet her future comrades, anyway. She knew she’d meet them soon, though. And of course, her obvious expectation was that they would look far older, since she was the youngest currently. She nodded to herself. Yes, surely other Generals would look much more fit for the job, not like this prissy princess.
Sailor Certa stopped, staring out a window for a moment, “The darkness is coming…” She whispered, then turned to Shiboko.
“Stay here.” She said, as she suddenly transformed in a flash of violet light, now wearing a black and white fuku with gold fixtures on certain parts, violet light glowing from her gloves as if she was fully charged for an attack, and ran past Shiboko. The white senshi was gone into the darkness, and she sighed.
“I’m bored,” Shiboko muttered, looking out the window. Something dark had managed to shroud the entire sky, but she figured it was probably going to precipitation, and there might be a flood. It wasn’t until there was a jolt of lightening, that Shiboko blinked, hearing something break down behind her.
Shiboko turned to see there was a rather odd panel in the wall that was now letting out smoke. She walked toward it, opening the panel to see a lot of wires had gone astray.
“I bet that girl can’t fix this!” She grinned, looking to the wires, and began to match them all up. She had a feeling, though it was a feeling in her gut, and not her mind, that the wires were supposed to match up in some color order. On one side, there was red, blue, yellow, the other had green, orange, and purple. This would be easy, as she began to wire.
Red met green, blue met orange, yellow met purple, and they all had to make the form of the Certask seal, a circle with a circle inside, like what many wore as a necklace. She finished within a few moments, and the panel began to work again. Shiboko smiled to herself.
“Impressive,” Someone had clapped behind her, and Shiboko turned in shock. There was a silver haired boy, perhaps three years older, his golden eye staring at her, the other seemed to be shrouded by his bangs.
“Who are you? You shouldn’t be in here, this place is for Generals only!”
The boy laughed to himself, turning to something on his shoulder, “Rina, is this the new one?”
“Yes, General. This is Shiboko. Four thousand five hundred years old, supposed to be inaugurated at six thousand.”
“I want you to submit a request to my dear Kini. Tell her Joko wants the inauguration to be at five thousand.”
“Submitting the request now, General.”
Shiboko stepped back, “You’re….General….”
“Did you expect someone older? More experienced?”
Shiboko nodded, and he smiled.
“Generals aren’t like the common man, we pick up on things faster. Thus why we’re admitted to be generals sooner. You, though…have picked up quite fast.”
She nodded, confused suddenly as he continued.
“I will be proud to have you by my side as my partner, General.”

Sailor Certa stopped, watching the darkness suddenly be pushed back. She watched from the atmosphere as it was returned to it’s home planet, and though not far off, she knew that there would be a few thousand more years to worry. By then, she would be able to completely push them off.
She was about to turn to return home, when something stopped her, and she saw a golden flash of light. With one scream, she saw something glowing a violet glow and her body fell, disintegrating within the atmosphere.
Galaxia smiled, holding the starseed, and turned to the white mouse-like girl, “From this day forth, you will serve me, understand?”
The girl nodded. Had she not been floating, she would had gone to one knee. She would soon be an Animate Senshi, servant to Galaxia.
