Blessings

By Nitemare Angel

Aino Minako reclined against the side of the Mountain Dew formed TARDIS, a tall glass in her hands, filled to the brim with a liquid that seemed to match the color of her hair. The planet Venus had always been known for its unbearable heat, and even with Terraforming, the planet was still like a desert. And so, Minako had found it fitting to just sit down and enjoy her drink. It only made sense, after all!

Adjusting her sunglasses, the girl smiled to herself, suddenly satisfied. This was the life, of course! To be able to relax and not have to worry about folly things like dressing up as the princess to keep everyone pleased… like what her other self was most likely doing now. But that was a thing of the past…or the present…or something. Minako sighed, things of this nature she did not associate herself with. They always got her more confused than she deserved to be either way.

“Moh! X-chan!” Minako looked around, and realized that the Time Lord wasn’t around. Sighing, Minako took off her sunglasses for a moment, and rose to her feet, “X-chan?” There was still no reply.

Getting up, the Ai no Megami began to open the door to the TARDIS, peeking inside. There was her husband, hunched over his TARDIS Console, seeming to be staring at something. With soft steps, Minako approached, now curious.

“X-chan?” She whispered softly, placing her hands on his shoulders, and her chin on his head, “What’s wrong?”

There was a silence from the Time Lord, and within moments, he looked up at her, a look in his brown eyes as if to show his love for her even without words. She smiled, and leaned in, wrapping her arms around his waist, and deciding to rest her head on his left shoulder. He wouldn’t mind this…at least, she didn’t think. She smiled to herself, closing one eye, and watching him continue to work at the console, until she began to drift to sleep, a small smile on her face.

And through the sacred flame, Hino Rei had seen this all happen within the bounds of Crystal Tokyo. She had known that there were two Minakos, but she could not explain why, or who the darker man was. She sighed, continuing her chants. Things of this business were not her concern. The Queen was her concern, and nothing more.
