Synopsis: What is it like when someone else takes over as resident heroine?

　

Mirinoi is a nice planet, a nice place to live. I’ve lived here for over a century. Terra Venture crash landed here. We were seeking a new world. How new this was!

My name is Mary Tempestt Macentire. I’m 30 years old, and have two children. I am a mutant, and my children are also mutants. I am also the protector of Mirinoi. Or, at least I was.

The Quasar Sabres still stand still near Terra Venture. They have not been used in nearly 50 years. Alfred, my husband, wanted to see what they were made of, but Maya said that they should not be disturbed.

We are the basis for what will be called the Prime Directive. We do not interfere with the other Mirinoi. Only Maya stays with us, for she has seen our technology.

I used to protect the planet. I used to fly around, use my powers to save lives, but no more. All that changed when Usagi (or maybe it was one of her heralds, I do not know) came here, seeking someone. She found Fula. Fula became the Sailor Soldier of Mirioi. It’s princess and ruler. I became obsolete. My Teapot w\is in disrepair, the moon has been colonized, and I am now worthless.

I used to fight and protect along side Fula, but no longer. Sailor Moon said that she did not need me. Fula has the power over Plants and Animals, sort of like Makoto of the old anime that I still have. I like Fula, I get along with her, even as Sailor Mirinoi. It’s Sailor Moon I cannot stand.

No, I do not like her. Ami was my favorite, the genius. No wonder I married Alfred. He designed Teapot and his own robot battle suit, and now, neither are needed.

Fula said we are not worthless. Sailor Moon said that we are. In the coming world, in Crystal Tokyo, there will be no room for mutants, for impure people, she said. I know that is eight hundred years away. I know that I will have time to talk to her. I know I can convince her to change, but mom and dad say not to.

Tux, Terra, my mom, my dad, they say that Usagi is unchangeable. She will not change, even if pressured. She will stay the course, and free the world.

I say I will will pressure her. I do not like being on the outside. I do not like being a satellite, worthless. Yes, I know of the satellite senshi and they are not worthless, just under the thumb of their ruling planet. I know of Io. I know of Phobos and Deimos. All the satellite senshi say that Usagi will not change her ways.

“You are never worthless here,” Fula tells me. I haven’t used my powers in three months. Disasters now are handled by her, not me.

I used to protect this planet and Terra Venture, now she does. Sailor Mirinoi does the protecting now. Now, I feel worthless.

Gone are the days of patrolling. Gone are the days of stopping forest fires, of setting up electrical wires, of helping Damon and Kendrix, of listening to Maya… All this replaced by Sailor Mirinoi.

No, I do not envy Fula. She envied me in the early days, now I envy her. She’s the new heroine, not me. She gets all the respect, not me. She gets all the fans, not me. Now longer is it about me, it is about Sailor Moon.

Why did she ruin my life? In just one day, she changed my from someone to no one, from a planet to a satellite. And, Mirinoi willing, when Crystal Tokyo arises, I will be there, and I will lead those who are worthless, those who are satellites, and show her what those who are worthless can really do.

Beware of large gatherings of people, brought together for no reason, bound together by a common interest. You never know what they can do…
